Our pitch on The Mill Road was the home of the Kickhams since the 1930’s. In 2007 our club decided that renovations would have to be carried out and since then our pitch and dressing rooms have been upgraded.
In 2018 an Astro Turf was installed to give us an All Weather Facility.
Gratefully, we now have a magnificent field and All Weather training area for all our players both young and old.
We see this as just another step on our journey forward as part of an ever growing and expanding Thurles Gaels GAA. Works are currently underway on extending the Astro Turf and building a state of the art Ball Wall. This would not be possible without the support of our members.
In 2023 we completed our new 90m x 30m Astroturf and a 30m hurling wall. Thurles Gaels GAA has constructed one of the finest Astroturf and ball wall facilities in the county to meet the needs of our expanding membership. We would like to thank all of our current and past members, supporters, friends and business’s who have supported our development work.
Our next phase which will commence in 2024 will include laying down a perimeter walkway arround the grounds, installation of flood lighting, the upgrading of our Clubhouse and Dressing Rooms and the erection of a Stand for spectator comfort.
